Meeting on arrival by your local tour escort and immediate transfer to your hotel. After having registered at the hotel, depart for your first guided tour of the city. This will include a visit of Notre Dame, the gothic Cathedral of Paris and the Sacré Cœur Basilica on top of the Butte de Montmartre, overlooking the entire city.

Return to the hotel for your dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at your hotel. Your morning-guided tour will take you to the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal at Rue du Bac. Visit the Church of Saint Vincent de Paul in Rue de Sevres, just two blocks away. Your tour of the “City of Lights” will also include a drive through one of the most beautiful squares of this city, Place de la Concorde, up to the Champs Elysées and around the Étoile with its overwhelming Arch of Triumph, quoted by Victor Hugo, “a mountain of stones for a mountain of glory”. Drive along the quays of the Seine to see the Rue de Rivoli, the Louvre, and the ancient King’s Palace, rue de la Paix with its glittering stores and the Opera Square.

Lunch not included during your day’s program. Return to the hotel for dinner and accommodation.

Paris – Chartres – Orleans – Limoges – Rocamadour

Breakfast and morning departure toward Chartres. You will visit one of the most beautiful cathedrals of France, after Notre Dame of Paris. Its stained glass windows are some of the most beautiful created during the medieval times. Drive along to Orleans and Château roux to arrive at Limoges. Lunch break in this quaint city of central France. If time allows, visit a store specialized in porcelains, which take its name from this city.

Continue on your journey to arrive late afternoon in Rocamadour. The Shrine of this city is dedicated to Hermit Amadour, whose body was discovered here in the year 1166. This Pilgrimage site dates back 900 years. A remarkable site is the statue of the Black Madonna. The Miraculous Bell is worshipped in this village.

Rocamadour – Lourdes

Morning devotions in Rocamadour. Using the lift, or the staircase with its 216 steps, proceed to the religious city, with its Scala Sancta. Visit the church of Saint Sauveur dating back to the 13th Century, with the Crypt of Saint Amadour. A little further, there is the Miraculous Chapel of Notre Dame de Roc Amadour dating the year 1749. It contains a 12th Century wooden statue of the Holy Mary. Visit the Castle, built on top of the cliff, overlooking the entire valley.

Depart toward Toulouse. For an arrival early afternoon in Lourdes. Check in at your hotel. Dinner and accommodation. After dinner, short walk to the ground of the Sanctuary to participate to the Torch Light Procession. First devotions at the Grotto Accommodation.

Lourdes

The first apparition to Bernadette Soubirous, at that time only 14 years old, dates to, February 11th1858. She was blessed 18 times and at the same time, the first miracles were announced. Soon, the devotion to the Holy Mary made Lourdes known worldwide and the first pilgrimages started to arrive. The Esplanade has been opened on the left side of the Grotto and the little river that cuts the city of Lourdes in two parts. All the pilgrimages meet here and it is here that is held, every night, the Torch-Light Procession dedicated to Our Lady.

At the end of the Esplanade you will see the Basilica, built in the year 1876, with two ramps that allow the pilgrims to reach the Basilica, while in the lower floor you will find the Church of the Rosary “du Rosaire”. Facing the Basilica, you will find the grotto of Massabielle, where Bernadette had her first vision, and to its right, its miraculous source. In a separate building, there are three pools where the Pilgrims can bathe. Day of devotions at the Grotto. Attend Mass, either concelebrating or just for your group.

Lourdes – Avignon – Ars-Sur-Formans

Early departure after breakfast. Drive by Toulouse, Carcassonne, with its walled fortress, Nîmes, with its Arena dating back to the roman times, and Avignon. This quaint city has been for a period the City of the Popes, when they were forced to abandon Rome and live in France under the rules of the French Kings. At that time France was just a geographical expression, not a State. If there is sufficient time, we shall drive by the Pope’s Residence, the Cathedral of Avignon, Notre Dame des Doms, dating back to the 12th Century, and the famous Church of Saint Peter, built in the flaming gothic style in 1512, and its gates added in the 1551.

Departing Avignon, we shall take the French Highway leading to Lyon. Just thereafter we deviate on to a farm & country small road to arrive, late afternoon, in ARS-SUR-FORMANS, a tiny hamlet.

Arrive at your hotel in Ars or any village in its immediate vicinity. Get installed. Dinner and accommodation.

Ars – Paray le Monial – Nevers

After breakfast, we shall visit the house of Saint Jean-Baptiste-Marie Vianney, the “Le Curé D’Ars”. Born in the hamlet of Dartilly on May 8th 1796, he died in Ars on August 4th, 1859. A priest since 1815, he was sent to Ars in 1818 and spent his entire life helping the poor. His simple ways and simple talks conquered everyone. As per 1847 the village was already a site for many pilgrimages from all over Europe. His Beatification was celebrated on January 8th 1905 and in the year 1925 he was Canonized.

Drive toward Paray le Monial. A monk, Hugh of Semur, in the year A. D. 970, constructed here a famous Monastery. Between 1673 and 1675 a young nun, Sister Margaret-Ann, was blessed by the vision of the Sacred Heart.

Continue on your day’s program and arrive in Nevers in the late afternoon. Dinner and accommodation at the Hotel.

Nevers – Lisieux – Evreux – Paris

Bernadette Soubirous joined the Sisters of Charity in Nevers, where she lived for the remaining 13 years of her short life. She died in the Convent of St. Gilard on April 1879, aged only 35. Her body was discovered intact in 1909. During the year 1925 she was placed to rest in a Shrine in the Chapel of Saint Gilard, where she still lies to the present days. In December 1933, Bernadette was canonized Saint. Depart for the last Shrine of this journey, Lisieux. In its Basilica rests Saint Theresa « The Little Flower » canonized May 1925. The pilgrims visiting this white Basilica come from all over the world. Time for Devotions and Mass. On your way back to Paris, you will be driving by the city of Evreux, to stop and visit Notre Dame Cathedral, dating to the 12th century. Upon arrival in Paris, check in at your hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
